Project vision of Digital Literacy Exnora The vision of Digital Literacy Exnora is to empower deserving women and youth with digital skills using KnowIT, a self-paced interactive multimedia eLearning software in the regional language of Tamil. The aim is to make 10 million people digital literate in five years.
“KnowIT – Basic Digital Literacy” is a self-paced interactive eLearning software, developed in the regional TAMIL language by Indiss Infotech. The course is of 20 hours duration and covers Introduction to computers, Internet and Email, Microsoft Windows, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint. Project Benefits The beneficiaries are able to learn computers very easily and quickly in their regional language Tamil with minimal teacher assistance. The Digital Literacy centres motivate their community people to learn computers and use ICT skills in their daily life. Digital Literacy Training will enable the beneficiaries to effectively participate in e-Governance, e-Commerce, e-Health and e-Education and several other ICT Initiatives and also impact their professional and personal lives.
